Optimization of surface roughness and material removal rate in turning using gray-based Taguchi approach

This study investigated the multi-optimization of turning process on AISI1045 steel material with CNMG cutting tool for an optimal parametric combination to yield minimum surfaces roughness maximum MRR using a Grey relational analysis (GRA) and Taguchi method. In view fact, that traditional method can’t solve multi-objective optimization problem: To overcome this limitations relation theory has been coupled Nine experimental runs based Orthogonal array were performed drive objective functions be optimized within domain signification factors overall quality characteristics was also evaluated quantitatively Analysis Variance ANOVA Optimal results verified through additional experiments.
